to Lift No Burn Proclamation
Notice
is hereby given to lift the NO BURN PROCLAMATION within Valley
Center Fire Protection District. All burning shall be done
in accordance with Cal Fire, Air Pollution Control District
and with any specific fire protection district ordinances.
Under the authority as duly appointed Fire Chief (acting),
the previous NO BURN PROCLAMATION of August 16, 2007 within
Valley Center has been lifted.
Burn Permits/Applications
Applications
for Burn Permits will ONLY be processed at the District Office
located at Station 72 (28234 Lilac Rd.) Monday through Friday
between the hours of 9am-Noon and 1:00pm -4:00pm (excluding
holidays).
Applicants
with a valid burn permit will need to call the District Office
(Monday through Friday) between 8:15am 9:00am on the
day they wish to burn. Authorization to burn will not be granted
after 9:00am.
At
this time, a satisfactory field inspection is required every
year following the date of the last inspection.

Applicants

day they wish to burn for authorization. Authorization to

Policy

The members of the Valley Center Fire Protection District
(VCFPD) are vested with the responsiblitiy of enforcing
the California Fire Code (CFD) and Air Pollution Control
District (APCD) rules as they pertain to the regulation
of open burning.

VCFPD has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with
CDFFP pertaining to the issuance of burning permits and
enforcement of open burning regulations.
- Open
Burning Permits are issured and inspected by the Fire Prevention
Bureau and managed daily by the Communications Center.
